This role involves providing charge nurse duties, monitoring the direct care provided by nursing assistants and medication aides, and communicating clinical conditions and diagnostic results to physicians and other staff. The nurse must respond quickly to changes in patient condition and may perform charge nurse duties as scheduled.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Professional Nursing and hold a current Texas LVN License along with current CPR Certification, which must be maintained at all times. No prior experience is required, but six months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
