The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care in the Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation department by assisting residents with essential activities of daily living under the direction of the charge nurse. Responsibilities include providing quality personal care, assisting with daily living activities, reporting condition changes promptly, and participating in quality improvement teams.
Candidates must successfully complete Nurse Aide training and competency evaluation programs, holding current Texas CNA certification and current CPR certification, which must be maintained at all times. The role requires assisting residents with daily activities and adhering to all facility policies and procedures.

Under the general direction of the charge nurse, provides direct patient care in the Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation department by assisting and/or providing for residents in the essential activities of daily living. Communicate with charge nurse(s), and other staff about residents’ condition including responding quickly and accurately to requests for assistance from residents and nurses. Must participate in quality teams as assigned and be knowledgeable in all resident care plans as well as the policies and procedures of the facility
Successful completion of Nurse Aide training and competency evaluation program (NATCEP).
Current Texas CNA certification and current CPR certification required. Must maintain current certifications at all times.
