The sonographer will perform sonographic procedures, travel to assigned clinic sites, review patient data, and evaluate sonograms to identify or rule out anomalies. They must also create reports for physicians, communicate findings, and provide visual guidance during procedures like amniocentesis.
Candidates must be graduates of a CAAHEP-accredited program and hold RDMS certification with an OB/GYN specialty, requiring at least one year of OB and/or MFM sonography experience. Essential qualifications include knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, ultrasound physics, HIPAA compliance, and strong interpersonal skills.
