The Hospice Aide provides compassionate personal care services to hospice patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist, completing interventions according to the individualized plan of care and ensuring accurate documentation. Key duties include assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, prescribed exercises, toileting needs, and meal preparation.
Required experience includes certification as a nursing assistant by the Virginia Board of Nursing and one year of nursing assistant experience, along with a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Preferred qualifications include experience in Hospice, Home Health, or a Skilled Nursing Facility, and being COVID-19 vaccinated.

Personal care interventions are completed in accordance with each patient’s individualized plan of care, with accurate and timely documentation.
