The Peer Recovery Coach engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members to help them explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. They also provide consultation to the team to reinforce the organization's Recovery Culture and respond to critical situations using high-level engagement and de-escalation skills.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED, be a Certified Peer Specialist or have completed Peer Support Training, and have one year of experience supporting members with behavioral health challenges. A valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance are required, along with experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.

The Peer Recovery Coach I engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served that assist the members to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. Peer Recovery Coaches provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS) in which each member’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming. Additionally, Peer Recovery Coaches respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for members served experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge.

Forensic Housing and Recovery through Peer Services (FHARPS) follow the Housing First Model, an integrated safe/affordable housing based on a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) . PSH is decent, safe, and affordable community-based housing that provides tenants with the rights of tenancy under state and local landlord-tenant laws. It is linked to voluntary and flexible support and services designed to meet tenants' needs and preferences. PSH makes housing affordable to individuals with disabilities and low (or no) income.
