The Laborist provides comprehensive care to pregnant women, delivers babies, and manages gynecological emergencies.
Provide obstetric and gynecological care to patients during shifts.
Conduct prenatal assessments, including routine check-ups and screenings, to monitor the health of pregnant women and their babies.
Attend deliveries and assist in the management of labor and childbirth, including performing cesarean sections and other surgical interventions as needed.
Evaluate and manage obstetric emergencies such as preterm labor, preeclampsia, and fetal distress.
Assess and treat gynecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, and reproductive tract infections.

Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Completion of residency training in obstetrics and gynecology.
Board certification or Board eligibility in obstetrics and gynecology.
Active Indiana Medical license and DEA, or ability to obtain.
Demonstrated clinical competence in obstetric and gynecological care, including surgical skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
Ability to work independently and make quick, evidence-based decisions in high-pressure situations.
Willingness to work overnight shifts on a regular basis, including weekends and holidays.

Pay or shift range
$225 USD and $270 USD holidays per hour. This range is the budgeted amount for this position.
