The Infection Preventionist implements measures to protect residents and staff within the community. This role is responsible for assessing staff education needs and coordinating programs based on those needs while ensuring State and Federal compliance.
Candidates must possess an active Indiana RN license or the ability to obtain one, along with specialized training in infection prevention and control, such as the CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training. The role also requires demonstrating C.A.R.E. values towards residents, family, customers, and staff.
The Infection Preventionist (IP) implements measures that will protect the residents and staff in the community. The IP is responsible for assessing the education needs of the staff and coordinate programs based upon identified needs and ensure State and Federal compliance.
