The LPN implements nursing care for assigned patients and assists the Registered Nurse (RN) in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of that care. Duties include demonstrating basic patient care skills, clerical tasks, stocking, transporting, performing EKGs and phlebotomy, and adhering to the standard of care within the Licensed Practical Nurse scope.
Candidates must have completed an approved LPN course and a 30-hour IV Certification Course, alongside holding a current Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Educational requirements indicate a preference for vocational/technical school or diploma, and potentially an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
