The Physician Assistant is responsible for assessing, planning, and providing patient care under physician supervision, which includes performing comprehensive physical examinations and compiling patient medical data. This role requires significant professional judgment and allows for a wide degree of creativity and latitude in accomplishing responsibilities.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Medicine or Health Sciences, along with a Physician Assistant License from the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners and certification by a recognized national professional accrediting organization. Current BLS Certification and NCCPA certification are also mandatory requirements.
