Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).
Performs thorough evaluations using appropriate tests and measures to assess movement limitations, pain levels, and functional impairments. Creates individualized care plans based on assessment findings, setting realistic goals to improve mobility, strength, and overall function. Utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, to address patient needs. Assesses patient responses to treatment, modifying interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and patient safety. Provides instruction on home exercises, body mechanics, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term health and prevent re-injury. Completes detailed and timely records of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with UAMS policies and regulatory standards. Works closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment for patients. Engages in continuing education opportunities, attend workshops, and pursue certifications to stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and enhance clinical expertise. May perform other duties as assigned.
