Pay Range: $31.07 - $40.60 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20 Position Overview ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs varied or specialized bacteriological, serological, hematological, chemical and/or related testing.
Prepares efficiently specimens for analysis, performs testing procedures and documents to produce accurate and reliable test results.
Performs routine procedures requiring subjective analysis and consults with the technical supervisors and pathologists regarding atypical results.
Performs procedures accurately and completely following established infection control practices and adhering to established standards and practices for quality assurance.
Performs all testing within their assigned section using computer linked automated electronic equipment and/or manual methodologies.
Reports clinical data accurately and efficiently so that care givers receive timely patient information.
Performs statistical analysis relevant to analytical methodologies in use accurately.
Records workload statistics accurately.
Instructs student technicians and staff members as required.
Counsels, advises, instructs, and provides technical guidance to staff members and/or students as required.

Performs procedures and minor repairs relevant to the routine operation and maintenance of analytical equipment in their assigned sections.
