The Medical Assistant provides patient-centered clinical care, including collecting vitals, assisting with procedures, and managing laboratory specimens. They also support practice operations by maintaining exam rooms, managing supplies, and coordinating patient referrals.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and completion of a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant program. Current BCLS certification is required, while national MA certification is preferred.
The Medical Assistant (MA) is a key member of the clinical care team, providing high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of licensed providers and the office manager. The MA supports clinical operations in a team-based, integrative care environment, ensures efficient patient flow, maintains patient safety, and communicates effectively with patients and staff. All duties are performed in accordance with NYS guidelines.
