Assess, monitor, and manage the overall care of highly acute and critical patients within the Critical Care Unit. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physicians and staff to optimize patient outcomes and provide emotional support to families.
Requires a BSN degree, a New York RN license, and BLS and ACLS certifications. Candidates should have at least one year of telemetry experience and the ability to interpret cardiac rhythms.
Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for highly acute and critical patients. Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending Physicians, Critical Care APPs, registered nurses / RNs and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.
Passion for Critical Care Unit 1+ years of experience in telemetry with ability to interpret cardiac rhythms Experience reading cardiac monitors Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required from the American Heart Association Certification: Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred or Cardio-Vascular Registered Nurse (BC-CVRN)
