The technologist is responsible for setting up sterile trays and assisting radiologists with procedures such as myelograms and steroid injections. They also handle emergent and routine X-rays for the emergency department and in-patient areas.
Candidates must be AART registered, hold a current Texas state license, and have graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Three years of hospital experience and BLS certification are preferred.
We are currently looking for a PRN Operating Room X-Ray Technologist to join our Imaging team.
The OR X-Ray Radiology Technologist will be responsible for setting up sterile trays and assisting the radiologists during the following procedures: myelogram, arthrogram, aspiration and steroid injection exams. The technologist will also be responsible for emergent X-rays from the ED and the In-Patient areas and any walk in, routine X-rays ordered. The North Central Imaging department is a fast paced area and the technologist must be flexible to move between multiple exams, areas and be able to manage his/her time effective and communicate well while maintaining a positive attitude.
