The Medical Technologist independently performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic testing, acting as a resource for problem resolution and result interpretation based on clinical knowledge and technical expertise. Responsibilities include collecting and processing biological specimens, performing testing analysis, and explaining procedures to patients.
Required qualifications include a B.S./B.A. in a related laboratory field with the required practicum or equivalent routes, and achieving Medical Lab Scientist through ASCP certification within one year, or Medical Technologist certification through ASCP prior to January 1, 2004. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory or Medical Technology and 3 years of clinical laboratory experience.
This position will work 72-80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8 and 12-hour shifts that include days, evenings, nights.

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting.
