Responsibilities also involve administering medications, conducting in-house lab work, placing IV catheters, monitoring anesthesia, and overseeing patient recovery while communicating progress to clients.
Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of veterinary technician experience, though emergency experience is preferred but not strictly required. A Veterinary Technician credential or licensure (LVT) is highly preferred, alongside a compassionate, energetic mindset and strong communication and teamwork skills.
