The Mammography Technologist performs digital screening and diagnostic mammography imaging independently under the supervision of the interpreting physician. They are responsible for maintaining accuracy in breast positioning, exposure techniques, and image evaluation while adhering to safety standards.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography. They must also possess a South Carolina state license and maintain current CPR certification.
