The Technician provides critical data to doctors by performing administrative and clinical functions, including obtaining patient histories and conducting preliminary testing. They are also responsible for coordinating patient scheduling, preparing exam rooms, and ensuring the practice meets quality standards.
Candidates must be capable of performing various clinical tasks such as preliminary and ancillary testing, assisting optometrists and ophthalmologists, and managing patient flow. Physical requirements include standing for sustained periods, light lifting (up to 15 lbs), and maintaining visual acuity for accurate work.
