Volunteers will provide companionship and emotional support to hospice patients, offering respite and support to their families and caregivers. This includes engaging patients through conversation, reading, or presence, and communicating relevant observations to the care team.
Applicants must be compassionate, empathetic, and dependable individuals who are comfortable with the hospice philosophy and end-of-life care. Strong communication skills and emotional readiness are required, along with a valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation.
