The RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, and delivery of nursing care for low- and high-risk pregnant patients. This includes documenting fetal monitoring, advocating for birth plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Candidates must have a Minnesota RN license, BLS certification, and at least one year of experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, or Acute Care. NRP and ACLS certifications are preferred or required within six months of hire.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes. Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs. Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes. Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes. About Our Unit – Labor & Delivery 14 Labor Rooms, 3 Triage Bays, 3 ORs, and 10 Pregnancy Special Care Rooms AWHONN-supported nurse-to-patient ratios Labor Support: Birthing balls, slings, tubs, ambulation, and student or personal doulas to promote low-intervention birth and reduce primary cesarean rates Pain Management Options: Epidurals, nitrous oxide, labor slings, and clinical aromatherapy

Night Position| 60 hours per two-week pay period (0.75 FTE) | 12-hour shifts | Every third weekend Provide expert care to low- and high-risk pregnant patients Support antepartum and postpartum mothers and families Assess and document fetal monitoring Advocate for the family’s birth plan and participate in shared decision-making Collaborate as an engaged team member in our culture of safety and communication Advance your skills—after gaining labor experience, RNs are trained to circulate in the OR NRP and ACLS training provided. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year Labor and Delivery, or Postpartum Experience OR 1 year of Acute Care Experience Minnesota RN License BLS certification
NRP Certification ACLS Certification required within 6 months of hire.

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting.
