The Interventional Cardiologist will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, focusing on catheter-based diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients with coronary and structural heart disease. This includes performing interventional procedures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree, complete accredited residency and fellowship programs in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology, and be board-certified or eligible in these specialties. A valid state medical license and DEA registration are also required.

Evaluate and manage patients with coronary artery disease and other cardiovascular conditions Perform interventional cardiology procedures consistent with training and privileges, including diagnostic cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary intervention Participate in emergent and elective interventional coverage, including STEMI response as applicable Provide pre-procedural assessment and post-procedural care, including complication management Interpret cardiac diagnostic studies, including coronary angiography and hemodynamic data Collaborate with non-invasive cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiothoracic surgery, emergency medicine, and critical care teams Provide inpatient consultation services and outpatient clinic care Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, risks, and treatment plans Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives Supervise and educate fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers as applicable Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship Completion of an accredited Interventional Cardiology fellowship Board-eligible or board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Cardiology Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure DEA registration or eligibility Skills and Competencies Expertise in interventional cardiology procedures and catheter-based techniques Strong clinical judgment and procedural decision-making skills Ability to manage high-acuity cardiovascular patients Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient safety Work Environment Cardiac catheterization laboratories, hospital inpatient units, and outpatient cardiology clinics Call coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays as required Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods during procedures Manual dexterity and stamina for catheter-based interventions Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for procedural and clinical care Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.
