Therapists conduct therapeutic services for residents, including individual, family, and group counseling sessions, while also developing psychological histories and treatment plans. They serve as the primary contact and advocate for residents and families, coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and outside agencies.
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or a related field, along with one year of direct clinical experience in family, individual, and group therapy with children and/or adolescents. A current State of Florida license such as LCSW, LMFT, LMFTI, LMHC, or LMHCI is mandatory.
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling or other related fields.
