The LVN is responsible for providing general nursing care to patients under the supervision of a physician or medical staff member. This includes assisting the physician with procedures such as lumbar punctures and skin biopsies.
Candidates must function within the required nursing process as defined by the Texas Nurse Practice Act and support the organization's mission and patient promise. The role requires effective written and verbal communication, analytical thinking for scheduling and emergent handling, and participation as an integral part of the healthcare team.
