The Optometric Technician will assist optometrists with comprehensive vision exams and eye health assessments for patients primarily located in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. Responsibilities include performing preliminary testing, administering basic diagnostic tests, and accurately documenting all patient findings.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, though completion of an Optometric Technician training program and certification are preferred. Prior experience in optometry or ophthalmology is strongly preferred, with experience in skilled nursing settings being a plus.
