The Medical Science Liaison acts as the local medical voice for AstraZeneca in the assigned disease area, developing a local medical strategy to enhance patient care and outcomes within their territory. This involves leading scientific exchanges with oncologists and gathering insights on the treatment landscape to inform company strategy and ensure adequate use of medicines.
Candidates must possess an advanced scientific degree (Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA, or NP) and demonstrate expertise in discussing scientific content to various audiences, along with strong project management abilities. Preferred qualifications include a Doctorate and prior Oncology or MSL experience.
Advanced scientific degree required (i.e. Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP) in a relevant health science or clinical discipline Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation, one-on-one conversations and in small group dialogues Ability to navigate within a matrixial environment Ability to navigate within a matrixial environment 0-2+ years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols Basic understanding of the Healthcare system, clinical trial methodology, statistics and regulatory environment Excellent project management ability Ability to travel (40-60% by car, train and plane domestic)

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $174,455 to $261,682. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles.
