The Sonographer conducts high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations within the OB/GYN division, focusing on patient safety, accurate imaging, and timely communication of preliminary findings to physicians. This role also involves preparing exam rooms, reviewing patient histories, and maintaining compliance with all professional and organizational standards.
Candidates must be graduates of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and hold current ARDMS certification along with NH Board of Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy licensure. Required attributes include experience in a healthcare setting, knowledge of sonographic equipment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining focus.

About the Job: The Sonographer performs high‑quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations within the OB/GYN division, ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging, and timely communication of preliminary findings. This role supports clinical teams by preparing exam rooms, reviewing patient histories, and maintaining compliance with professional, regulatory, and organizational standards. What You’ll Do: Conduct clinical assessments and perform diagnostic ultrasound exams. Review patient history, evaluate images, and prepare preliminary findings for physicians. Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety. Use proper positioning, equipment adjustments, and ergonomic scanning techniques. Document exam limitations and maintain accurate ultrasound records. Prepare exam rooms and equipment for daily use. Report equipment issues and support ongoing EPIC and system‑wide integration initiatives. Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and organizational policies. Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing professional development. Who You Are: A graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with current ARDMS certification and NH Board of Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy licensure. Experienced in a healthcare setting and knowledgeable about sonographic equipment. Skilled at communicating results to physicians and supporting patients with compassion. Able to work independently and collaboratively, even in emergent situations. Detail‑oriented, focused, and comfortable managing multiple distractions while delivering excellent patient care.
