The primary function is to assist the Charge Nurse in providing nursing care and related services to assigned residents. This must be done in compliance with all federal, state, and local guidelines to meet the medical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of each resident.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or G.E.D. and be a certified Nursing Assistant, or meet grandmothering regulations, or be eligible to obtain certification within 120 days. Applicants must also be able to read, write, speak English, follow directions, and be or become CPR certified.
The primary function of this position is to assist the Charge Nurse in the provision of nursing care and related services for all residents under their assigned area and in compliance with all federal, state and local guidelines, standards and regulations which govern the facility, and, as directed by the Nursing Supervisor and/or Director of Nursing Services so as to ensure each resident's medical, psychosocial and spiritual needs and wishes are met effectively and efficiently on a continuum. QualificationsEducational and Experience Requirements: 1. High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. 2. Certification as a Nursing Assistant, or, meets the state and federal requirements under "grandmothering" regulations, or, attends an approved nurse aide training program to obtain eligibility for the Nurse Aide Competency Examination within 120 days of employment. 3. Ability to read writes and speaks English. 4. Ability to follow oral and written direction. 5. CPR certified or willing to become CPR certified
