The Med Tech assists in basic nursing care for residents in the Personal Care Program under supervision, which includes answering call bells, assisting with hygiene, feeding, and administering medications. Essential duties also involve maintaining cleanliness in resident suites and common areas, performing laundry, and assisting with resident activities.
Applicants must possess proof of Med Tech certification to be eligible for hire and must be able to read, write, and understand English well, along with having some knowledge of basic medical terminology. Required qualifications also include current CPR and First Aid certification, completion of Diabetic Training, and Medication Certification.
Assist in the basic nursing care to provide quality care of Resident’s in the Personal Care Program under the supervision of LPN’s and/or The Personal Care Home Administrator. Qualifications Ability to read, writes, and understands English well. Some knowledge of basic medical terminology. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills. Current CPR and 1st aid certification. Completion of a Diabetic Training course and certification. Completion of Medication Certification. Work independently with direct and indirect supervision.
