Under the direction of a Clinical Manager, the assistant helps in assessing, planning, and implementing physical therapy for patients while maintaining the operational aspects of the therapy unit. This role also involves supervising subordinate staff, students, and volunteers as delegated.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited program with an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy and must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Pennsylvania. Required experience includes applying customer service behaviors and communication skills, along with holding a current CPR certification.
Full time (80 hours biweekly)
M-F day/eve 2 days 7: 00-3;30 2 days 9:00-5:30 1 day 10:30-7:00 Weekend rotation
Location: Penn National Rehabilitation
Under the direction of a Clinical Manager, assists with assessing, planning, implementing Physical Therapy to patients. Maintains the operational aspects of the therapy unit in collaboration with the Clinical Manager. Further contributes to the Physical Medicine Department, Hospital and the American Physical Therapy Association through support of philosophy, objectives, educational and research efforts. Is responsible for the supervision of subordinate staff, students and volunteers as delegated by department administrative personnel. May be required to travel between clinical sites to assist in provision of care.
