The Medical Ophthalmologist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of non-surgical eye conditions, focusing on medical eye care including retinal diseases and glaucoma management. Key duties involve evaluating patients, diagnosing and managing various eye diseases, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing necessary treatments like injections and laser therapy.
Candidates must possess a Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) and specialist training in Ophthalmology, along with board certification or equivalent licensure. Fellowship or additional training in Medical Retina, Uveitis, or Neuro-ophthalmology is preferred.
The Medical Ophthalmologist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of non-surgical eye conditions. This role focuses on medical eye care, including retinal diseases, inflammatory eye disorders, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma management, and ocular complications of systemic illness. The specialist works closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient-centered care.
