The Certified Pharmacy Technician will perform tasks under pharmacist supervision, including entering and retrieving patient data, preparing and labeling medications, and stocking drugs and automated systems. Essential duties also involve preparing doses, performing non-sterile and sterile compounding after training, and monitoring drug inventory levels.
Candidates must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through PTCB and register with the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy within 45 days of hire, with no prior job-related experience required. Essential qualifications include strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency with computer keyboard operations, and the ability to perform basic calculations and troubleshoot pharmacy equipment.
