Therapists conduct individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions for residents, acting as the primary contact and advocate while collaborating daily with psychiatrists. Key duties include interviewing, assessing needs, developing treatment objectives, coordinating discharge planning, and maintaining required documentation.
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or a related field, along with at least one year of direct clinical experience in family, individual, and group therapy with children and/or adolescents. A current State of Florida license (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, etc.) and strong communication skills are mandatory.
Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling or other related fields.
