Perform accurate microbiology testing, report results timely, and maintain laboratory equipment and quality control standards. Responsibilities also include preparing samples, notifying caregivers of critical results, and assisting with staff training and compliance.
Requires a degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related science with certification from ASCP or AMT. Candidates must be eligible for national board exams or have completed a NAACLS accredited program.
Position is based in Microbiology, with no rotations to other laboratory areas. Prefer tech with previous clinical microbiology experience.
