The Medical Assistant III is responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care, managing charts, and ensuring patient flow. They perform delegated medical tasks, assist with procedures, and document patient information.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, Medical Assistant certification, and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience. A minimum of 5 years of medical assisting experience, including 2 years in a specialty, is required, with a preference for dermatology experience.
Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care. Responsible for chart management and patient flow. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.
