The Certified Respiratory Therapist supports respiratory care delivery by administering routine therapy, monitoring patient conditions, and responding to emergencies. This role also involves maintaining equipment, managing supplies, and providing education to patients and their families.
Candidates must hold a certificate or associate's degree and be a graduate of an accredited respiratory program. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, with additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred.

The Certified Respiratory Therapist supports the delivery of respiratory care by assisting with patient treatment, equipment maintenance, and supply management. This role requires strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities include administering routine therapy, responding to emergencies, monitoring patient conditions, providing patient and family education, and ensuring the proper functioning and availability of respiratory equipment and supplies. The position also involves handling confidential information and adhering to healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
Two (2) years of education: Certificate, Associate’s degree Graduate of Program in Discipline, required or validated by current licensure (BLS) Basic Life Support required (ACLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support preferred (PALS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred (NRP) Neonatal Resuscitation Program preferred
