The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures as prescribed by a physician. They must monitor patient responses, manage mechanical ventilation, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient outcomes.
Candidates must hold an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy and possess a valid Florida or Compact State license as a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist. Additionally, 2 years of experience and current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required.
Education Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Life Support (ACLS)- American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Life Support (PALS)- American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Work Experience 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
