Performs a variety of ultrasound imaging exams including grayscale, color, and duplex studies while maintaining equipment and ensuring high-quality patient care. Collaborates with physicians and staff to facilitate efficient departmental operations and regulatory compliance.
Requires an Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and ARDMS certification, with RVT or RVS certification required within six months of hire. Candidates must also hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
JOB SUMMARY Works under minimal supervision with the physicians to perform ultrasound imaging exams, exam protocols, accreditation, operations, and facilitation of equipment maintenance.

Required Education Associate's Degree Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Graduate of an Accredited Sonography Program Licenses and Certifications (ARDMS) AMER REGIS DIAG MED SONO American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and (RVT) REGISTERED VASCULAR TECH Registered Vascular Technologist or (RVS) REGISTERED VASCULAR SPECIALIST Registered Vascular Specialist and (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) by first day of employment In the event that a sonographer is hired without RVT or RVS certification, they must obtain RVT certification within six (6) months of their hire date.
