The Advanced Practice Provider will provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions in a clinic setting. They will also collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to manage inpatient care and coordinate services between various medical departments.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with current Tennessee licensure and board certification. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and a DEA license with prescribing authority.
Erlanger is seeking a Pulmonology Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its outpatient pulmonology clinic in Chattanooga, TN. This is a clinic-based, weekday-only position providing comprehensive care to adult patients with a wide variety of chronic and acute pulmonology conditions. The APP will work collaboratively with board-certified pulmonologists and an interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in an ambulatory setting.
Preferred: Critical Care, Emergency department, or Cardiology experience
The Nurse Licensure Compact will not change how to obtain or renew a Tennessee license. However, the Tennessee nursing license will be a single state license for Tennessee Residents or non-compact state residents. Tennessee licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-Tennessee residents.
The Intensivist Nurse Practitioners will work in the critical care office and will provide comprehensive outpatient evaluation and management of patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. The clinic focuses on evidence-based care for conditions such as COPD, asthma, chronic cough, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary nodules, and other complex pulmonary disorders, emphasizing continuity of care and long-term disease management. The department is staffed by experienced, board-certified pulmonologists and supported by advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, nursing staff, and care coordinators who work collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the team prioritizes patient education, preventive care, and individualized treatment plans to optimize respiratory health and improve patient outcomes.
