• EO/AA This position is responsible for the completion of specialized vascular examinations to aid in the diagnosis of vascular disease and to guide the determination of therapy options.

Responsibilities

Coordinates and prioritizes ordered exams. Collaborates and coordinates with medical staff including, but not limited to, physicians, APC's, medical fellows and residents, and other medical staff. Collects medical information and patient histories. Performs vascular ultrasound exams in accordance to the department and overseeing accredited body's outlined protocols and procedures. Appropriately documents exams and preliminary impressions. Cleans and maintains equipment, supplies, and work area. May be assigned shared mobile outreach duties in support of Vascular Surgery clinics at various outreach locations. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Demonstrated potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above. Ability to provide care to the population served. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development. Ability to assess data regarding the patient's status. Ability to provide care as described in the department's policies and procedures manual. Demonstrated knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology. Demonstrated effective communication and human relation skills.

Qualifications

• Required Must meet all eligibility requirements of a Vascular Lab Technologist I. One of the following: Two (2) years of experience as a Vascular Lab Technologist. One (1) year of experience as a Vascular Lab Technologist and the completion of an approved, one (1) year externship program. Verified competency in all of the following areas: Aortic-Iliac Reflux mapping Fistula Survey - Fistula Mapping Specialty exams (Such as TOS, Popliteal Entrapment, and any other specialty exam not called out in other levels) Licenses Required Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire. One of the following Current certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Current certification as a Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography RT(VS) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current certification as a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
