Provide comprehensive evaluations and medical management for patients with obesity as a chronic disease. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including dieticians, health coaches, and surgeons within an academic medical center.
Must be a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine or exam eligible. Requires board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and eligibility for a New Hampshire medical license.
American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) Diplomate, or exam eligible from either CME pathway (completion of required CME), or Fellowship pathway (completion of Obesity Medicine Fellowship recognized by Obesity Medicine Fellowship Council).
Expertise in the field of obesity medicine. This field of medicine requires competency in the genetic, biologic, environmental, social, and behavioral factors that contribute to obesity and a thorough understanding of the treatment of obesity Competence with all non-surgical therapeutic interventions including diet, physical activity, behavioral change, and pharmacotherapy, and in providing peri and post-surgical care of metabolic and bariatric surgery patients Required Licensure/Certifications BC/BE in Internal Medicine, and Internal Medicine sub-specialty, or Family Medicine Eligible for NH medical license and DEA
