The LPN administers patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and collaborates with the nursing team to implement care plans. They provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and their families while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Candidates must hold a valid Ohio LPN license, current AHA BLS certification, and medication administration certification. An LPN diploma program is required, and IV certification is preferred.
The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care. The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The LPN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/ indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.
