The technologist performs technical skills during cardiac and vascular procedures in the catheterization and electrophysiology laboratories. They are responsible for operating specialized equipment and ensuring patient safety through proper preparation, monitoring, and documentation.
Candidates must hold or be eligible for RCIS or RCES certification and possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Graduation from an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology or equivalent experience is required.
