The Medical Assistant is responsible for preparing patients for examinations, including taking vital signs and recording medical history. They also assist providers with treatments, administer medications, and maintain accurate clinical data in electronic health records.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. and have graduated from an accredited medical assistant program. Certification as an RMA, CMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA is required, or two years of relevant experience may be substituted.
