Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in molecular biology, neuroscience, or a related field. The role requires laboratory experience in experimental biology and familiarity with molecular neurobiology techniques.
The Bargmann laboratory studies genes and neural pathways that allow animals to generate flexible behaviors. We use the simple nervous system of nematodes to examine circuits, neuromodulatory systems, and cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie innate behaviors. Overview
We are seeking a Research Assistant with an interest in molecular neuroscience to join our lab and assist with experiments in several species of nematodes.
