The Clinical Research Nurse executes and coordinates clinical trials by integrating patient care with research duties, focusing on screening, enrollment, treatment administration, and data collection. This role involves educating participants, collaborating with various staff, and ensuring compliance while advancing research and improving patient outcomes.
Required qualifications include a BSN, a current NYS RN license, and a BCLS certification, along with a minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience. Candidates must be proficient in computer platforms like MS Office Suite, possess strong technical and quantitative skills, and demonstrate high levels of discretion, motivation, and communication abilities.
The new Diagnostic and Treatment Center (D&TC) will be named the “Rockefeller University Clinical Research Center” (RCRC). Reporting to the Clinical Trials Nurse Manager, the Clinical Research Nurse is responsible for emphasizing screening, enrollment, treatment administration, and data collection while ensuring compliance and patient safety in the Diagnostic and Treatment Center (D&TC).
A BSN is required, including a current NYS RN license. Must possess a BCLS certification plus a minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience. Position requires in-person, onsite presence. Must be proficient in computer platforms, including MS Office Suite. Strong technical proficiency and quantitative skills are required. Must have the highest level of discretion to handle confidential information. Commitment to advancing research and patient outcomes, plus an ability to work collaboratively across clinical and research teams. Must have a passion for excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, along with attention to detail, are essential. Initiative and self-motivation are critical.
Prior experience in an academic, medical, or research institution is strongly preferred.
