The CT Technologist independently performs standard CT procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. They are responsible for administering contrast materials and processing diagnostic images using specialized equipment.
Candidates must hold an Associate's Degree in an imaging-related field and possess ARRT certifications in Radiography and CT. A minimum of one year of experience as a CT Technologist is required along with active BLS certification.
Education Technical Program Radiologic Technology Associate's Degree Imaging related field such as Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State General Radiographer, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Radiation Therapy Technologist Certification American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R - Radiography) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (CT - Computerized Tomography) Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross Work Experience One year experience as a CT Technologist A working knowledge of the CT equipment is necessary
