The Respiratory Care Assistant supports the Respiratory Therapist by cleaning, disinfecting, and testing respiratory equipment. They also assist with equipment delivery and perform specific patient care procedures under clinical direction.
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED and possess a Nursing Assistant certification or be enrolled in an approved Respiratory Therapy program. A current CPR certification and strong interpersonal and organizational skills are also required.
