The clinical staff will assist providers with patient care, including order entry, reporting, and various clinical procedures such as venipuncture and injections. They are also responsible for clerical tasks and maintaining high standards of patient care and customer service.
Applicants must hold a high school diploma and either be a certified Medical Assistant or a licensed Practical Nurse. Familiarity with EPIC EMR, ICD-10/CPT coding, and HIPAA regulations is required or strongly preferred.
1. High School diploma or equivalent certificate 2. Medical Assistant applicants must have successfully completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and/or will have obtained certification through a recognized certifying organization 3. Licensed Practical Nurse applicants must successfully have completed a practical nursing and pharmacology program and maintain current state licensure with CNE requirements 4. Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred 5. Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians 6. Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards. 7. CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment. 8. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding 9. Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred. 10. Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
