The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout their lifecycle by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans. They coordinate patient care activities while maintaining professional standards and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
Candidates must be graduates of a nursing program and hold a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia or an NLC/eNLC multistate license. BLS certification is required, and the role is open to new graduates.
Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia; and interpreting assessment data; planning and performing speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Responsible for the supervision of rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
Education Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school Required Licenses and Certifications CCC - Clinical Speech Pathologist from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Required Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology Required BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA or ARC Required Business
