The Medical Assistant provides clinical support by preparing patients for examinations, assisting providers during procedures, and documenting medical histories and vital signs. They are also responsible for maintaining a sterile and safe environment, performing phlebotomy, and educating patients on care instructions.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and either hold or be able to obtain a Certified Medical Assistant certification. Proficiency in medical terminology, phlebotomy, and electronic medical record systems is required, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
